So many people have asked me, "When did you decide to open a restaurant?"  It has actually been a dream of ours since before we were married.  We love to garden and cook together. Rob is an avid outdoorsman and we get overly excited when our entire meal is procured with our own hands.   At home, our best meals involve something fresh from the garden and something fresh from the woods/river.  Rob has been in the restaurant industry for over half his life, and I have over 5 years of restaurant experience as well.  We've been gardening organically for over 10 years, and Rob has been hunting/fishing since he was a wee lad.  With my work at Feed Fayetteville focusing upon creating community food security, it is my experience that a largely under-served part of the local food system is the food service industry.  We plan to work with local farmers to purvey ingredients that nourish while providing a living wage to our farmers.  Good food should be a daily ritual.  At The Farmer's Table Cafe we will honor the traditions of the Ozarks by bringing our community together around a table.  

We are working hard to open in April and so far we are on track.  I cannot give enough thanks to all of our friends and family who are helping us make this happen.  Too many to list, but you know who you are.   Stay tuned and follow our progress via Facebook!  We are also excited to advertise in Edible Ozarkansas, so please check out the Spring Issue.  We CANNOT wait to share a meal with you.
